Client: Olden Garden Community
Ideas were proposed in consultation with the members of the Olden Gardens committee, for replacing their dilapidated existing space to provide meeting and teaching space, with kitchen and disabled WC and veranda.
Options were prepared including re-use of the existing structure, new build and the purchase of an off-the peg building. After much discussion the last was chosen – democracy at work. Apart from continuing to visit the garden and occasionally do a bit of weeding, Chance de Silva stepped aside at that point.
