Chance de Silva with Matt Hale
We were placed second in this competition for landmarks in the Pennines, in collaboration with artist Matt Hale.
The proposal is a glass tank with fluid in. It stands in the field with no visible means of structure or support and the works intention is to heighten the experience of being in the landscape, drawing attention to the act of viewing.
Matt’s ideas developed themes from his previous completed work at Chance de Silva’s ‘Venus’ project, using domestic fluids in glass tubes to make a ‘stained’ glass window.
